Senior Software Technologist I/II

Your role:

Design and implementation of software (on component or module level)—understand and communicate consequences of your design on the architecture and influence design specification;Design software on the basis of design specifications in accordance, to ensure that the software will be reliable, efficient, user-friendly, easy to maintain and meet the (medical) quality and coding standards;Implement class, unit integration and unit tests for the designed modules or components;Contribute to the quality and maintainability of our software stack which has to be maintained for a long time (10+ years).Perform work in-line with processes/quality system;Contributing to the unit interfaces (SW), in close consultation with relevant disciplines;Initiatives and active participation for continuous improvement and Agile / Safe / Scrum process.

You're the right fit if:

At least a Bachelor degree in SW Engineering, Informatics, Computer Science or equivalent7-18 years’ experience in software design and developmentExperience with all aspects of the software development lifecycle: requirements,  design, implementation, test and integrationExperience with C++, object oriented programming and SOLID principles ​​Experience with software development methodologies such as agile (SAFE), scrum and the V-modelDesign and implementation of software (on component or module level)—understand and communicate consequences of your design on the architecture and influence design specification;Design software on the basis of design specifications in accordance, to ensure that the software will be reliable, efficient, user-friendly, easy to maintain and meet the (medical) quality and coding standards;Implement class, unit integration and unit tests for the designed modules or components;See the challenge in working with a very large codebase (new and legacy code) that will need new features added or embedded in existing code, updates, (bug)fixing, improvements.Good communication in English (both written and verbal)Personality skills to collaborate with colleagues from different teams/levels and think across functional bordersA lean/pragmatic attitude who can drive change and continuously seeks improvements and ways to reduce ‘waste’Interest in development of software in a controlled regulated environmentExperience in working in a healthcare product development environment is an advantage
