The Red Hat West Enterprise Sales team is looking for an Account Solution Architect to join us in the United States, ideally in the San Diego or Phoenix area. In this role, you will focus on the West / San Diego territory. You will act as the catalyst who creates possibilities, solves problems, and establishes working relationships with our customers. You'll discover and analyze our customers’ business and technical needs and collaborate with sales and technical delivery teams to help customers invest wisely in the right solutions from across the Red Hat portfolio, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat OpenShift, and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform. As an Account Solution Architect, you’ll need to have excellent communication and people skills, as you'll be a key part of the first major experience our customers have with Red Hat. You’ll also need to have a balance of technical expertise, passion for open source and technology, and detailed understanding of business processes. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.What you will doSupport the Sales team with recommendations for development and implementation of complex offerings and solutions to achieve sales quotasMeet revenue goals, in addition to deployment and service objectives while maintaining good relationships with existing and prospective customersLead critical customer presentations/sessions/demos around business problems, Red Hat solutions, business value,competitive positioning and product capabilities and roadmapsPrepare detailed specifications of our offerings and implement customer installation plans•Design solutions based on customer requirements and create and deliver solid business cases•Design value-driven architectures and present the application and return on investment (ROI) of our technologies•Deliver compelling recommendations and quality solutions that result in the closing of new sales•Use your skills as a technical solutions expert and your understanding of industry best practices to deliver timely results to customersShare knowledge and findings to allow team members to learn from your successes and mistakes•Focus on customer success activities•What you will bring5+ years of experience as a sales engineer, consultant, IT architect, Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer or an equivalent role within enterprise accountsAbility to interpret customers’ business and technical needs•Understanding of complex enterprise solutions and architectures•Excellent presentation, communication, and documentation skills•Record of developing relationships at engineering, commercial, and executive levels throughout large enterprise ITorganizationsAdvanced knowledge of UNIX or Linux systems, preferably in Red Hat platform offerings like Red Hat Enterprise Linux(RHEL), provisioning and patch management solutions like Red Hat Satellite, and configuration management technologies like:Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, Puppet, Chef, or other related technologiesSolid knowledge of hybrid cloud infrastructure and management solutions in the market like KVM, VMware vSphere, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, or Red Hat OpenStack PlatformKnowledge of technologies like clustering, directory services, identity management, SELinux, etc.•Broad understanding of the application life cycle from development to operations and its respective practices (DevOps)•Knowledge of key technologies in DevOps including security, and continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) toolingUnderstanding of key Linux container technologies including Kubernetes, and enterprise solutions like Red Hat OpenShift Container PlatformWillingness to travel up to 40%
The salary range for this position is $195,540.00 - $312,830.00 (inclusive of base pay + target incentive compensation). Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
