As our next Senior Solution Architect, you will play a key role in designing and developing IT solutions that align with business needs while adhering to Volvo Group’s architectural principles. What You will Do 

 

Architect & Lead: Design IT solutions that align with business needs and Volvo Group’s architectural vision.  Collaborate & Influence: Work closely with Architects, Product Owners, Product Managers, Enterprise Architects, and Business Analysts to ensure seamless integration of IT initiatives.  Strategic Mapping: Utilize capability mapping to align business functions with IT solutions, ensuring strategic and operational efficiency.  Promote Innovation: Drive the adoption of CAST (Common Architecture and Shared Technology) to foster interoperability and reuse of shared technologies.  IT Governance & Decision Making: Support IT reviews, lead architectural decision-making, and create materials for steering groups.  Optimize & Improve: Identify technical shortcuts, manage deviations, and continuously enhance business flows across domains.  Who You Are

Background & Expertise 

A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.  Proven experience as a Solution Engineer and Solution Architect.  A strong interest in process improvements and creating structured solutions.  Ability to take ownership and responsibility for tasks and drive them to completion.  Excellent communication and leadership skills. 

 

Strong merits if you also have 

Experience with case management systems.  Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics.  A background in the automotive industry. 

 

Additional Requirements 

Fluency in English (spoken and written).  Valid work permit for Sweden (if not an EU/Swedish citizen). 

 

This role is based in our Gothenburg office at Lindholmen, and you will be expected to be on-site at least three days per week.
