**Description**
1898 & Co., a division of Burns & McDonnell, is seeking a Senior Solution Consultant with experience in Operational Technology Networks to join the Enterprise Systems Business Line within the Technology Consulting Practice of 1898 & Co. We're seeking a qualified network practitioner to provide operational technology solutions and services to our clients. The selected candidate will join the Global Enterprise Systems Business Line, which focuses on providing our clients a variety of consulting services, offerings, capabilities, and strategies delivering high value to our clients through a variety of leading technologies and practice disciplines. The solution consultant shall possess strong functional and technical knowledge of network solutions such as Wide Area Networks, Software Defined Networks and Field Area Networks supporting Operational Technology solutions. The candidate must have strong project execution capabilities, collaboration capabilities, and excellent communication skills. Candidate will focus on continuous improvement and operational technology innovation and have strong attention to detail while delivering high-quality work to our clients.
The Senior Solution Consultant will lead a team of experienced individuals to develop and perform key deliverables utilized within the sales process with a focus on technology consulting.
+ Manage, facilitate, and coordinate involved technology teams across multiple offerings
+ Manage, develop, and design technical solutions creating corresponding cost estimates
+ Manage, present and discuss solution(s) with internal/external clients, stakeholders and approvers.
+ Manage the building and integrating operational technologies and networks to meet the customer’s needs
+ Manage the business Case creation in support of value-add, value-creation, and transformation.
+ Manage client workshops. Transform use case and business case requirements into proposed solutions.
+ Business and Customer Point of Contact (POC) on proposed technology designs and solutions.
+ Manage the business impact that certain technical choices have.
+ Partner with various stakeholders about any problems with the current technical solutions being implemented
+ Provide leadership and direction for implementation teams during delivery stages.
+ Manage innovation initiatives through research, vetting, and qualifying technology in support of new offerings.
+ Manage the systems architecture currently in place and work with technical staff to recommend solutions to improve it.
+ Manage the presentation of technology solutions to internal business line leaders and other approvers.
+ Facilitate, manage, and own requirements gathering, application & business process inputs, and deliverables through the life cycle of an assigned project
+ Comprehend customer business strategies and requirements and develop necessary designs and plans to ensure projects and solutions satisfy those needs
+ Serve as the key technology interface for opportunities as it pertains to technology in scope
+ Manage project teams and projects to develop new value-add assets supporting technology consulting offerings
+ Perform other duties as assigned
+ Complies with all policies and standards
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field from an accredited program and 7 years of relevant experience. Applicable years of experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
+ Previous internship and/or related consulting experience is preferred.
+ Proficient computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite)
+ Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills.
+ Preferred experience designing, building and managing network solutions supporting operational technologies utilizing multiple protocols such as TCP/IP, DNP3, Modbus, GOOSE, ICCP
+ Preferred experience designing, building and managing Wide Area Networks, Field Area Networks and Software Defined Networks
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
+ Effective written and oral communications skills.
+ Demonstrated critical thinking skills.
+ Proficient in standard electrical engineering techniques and procedures.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PPT)
