About this opportunity:

The Cloud infra upgrade is a complex process that requires careful planning, preparation, and execution. Infra upgrade involves an assessment of customers current infrastructure including their Software defined infrastructure and cloud environments (OpenStack and Kubernetes), finalize the target software version and upgrade paths, perform pre-upgrade inspection, execute, troubleshoot and fix issues if encounter any. To support the cloud upgrade deliveries, we are seeking candidates within Ericsson or external who have expertise in OpenStack, Kubernetes, Linux, and networking, along with hands-on experience. This will enable us to quickly onboard them into the project with minimal training and a short timeframe while also meeting all the upcoming project requirements.

What you will do

•    Drive changes in the methods, processes, and guidelines within the customer organization or internally. Also, acts as a leader/mentor in day-to-day operations to provide insights for less experienced colleagues.
•    Cloud related product deployment, include Software Installation, Configuration preparation, integration with other component or product, perform the software upgrades for Software defined infrastructure and Cloud components including Software Defined Storage and Software Defined Networking. The product includes but not limited to Ericsson Cloud Execution Environment, VMWare, Redhat OpenStack and KVM at Cloud.
•    Coding and Scripting for automation tool or customer adaptions, mainly with Python and Shell
•    Support pre-sales activities, including pre-studies and solution analysis.
•    Identify possible impacts of specific deployment/upgrade requirements on products & solutions. Feasibility studies.
•    Preparation of Standard Method of Procedure and analyse the network impact due to upgrade.
•    Formulate test plans and use cases as per configuration and network features bought by customer.

You will bring

•    Good Knowledge in Cloud & Virtualization techniques and standards in the market.
•    Domain experience: Cloud platform such as OpenStack, familiar with popular virtualization solutions such as KVM/Xen/VMWare is preferred.
•    Excellent knowledge: L2/L3 Protocols/Technologies – VLAN, Switching Protocols/Routing Protocols /L2VPN/L3VPN.
•    Experience in solutioning / implementation / rollout of services in – Metro Ethernet, SDN/NFV, IP/MPLS.
•    Hands-on in one or more SDN / NFV stacks / protocols like – ODL, ONOS, Blue Planet, Opennet, Netconf, Yang, Tail-f, Open Flow, Contrail.
•    (Mandatory) Hands-on experience in implementation of OpenStack & Linux operating system
•    Excellent knowledge of Routing & Switching product: Cisco, Juniper, Pluribus.
•    Excellent knowledge of Virtualization and Orchestrator.
•    (Mandatory) Hands-on experience in implementation of COTS products.
•    Understanding of Virtualization, Kubernetes, Dockers, Linux environments.
