Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to support our DoD client in Dahlgren, VA. The Sr. Solutions Architect will provide capabilities to support the customer with rapid design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and operation of specific software and hardware capabilities to meet current Cyber Defensive needs.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and build components encompassing network, security, identity, governance, development, and operations in Customer's environments.Operationalize solutions from proof-of-concept through production using automation for repeatability, maintainability, and to enforce standards beginning with automated testing progressing through the Dev/Ops pipeline to automated deployment.Recommend and, if approved, use emerging tools and methodologies to automate existing processes and design new virtualized and cloud-based infrastructures based on an infrastructure as code mindset; script and deploy infrastructure components.Provide insight into and knowledge of the latest virtualized and cloud technologies, solutions, industry trends, and best practices.Provide insight into and knowledge of the latest DevOps technologies, solutions, industry trends, and best practices.Provide options for leveraging DevSecOps processes with firmware and hardware components.Develop proof-of-concept prototypes using automation for repeatability, maintainability, and to enforce standards, cyber security, and program safety.Essential SkillsU.S. Citizenship and an Active or Interim Secret Clearance required.Bachelor's Degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Solution Architect, with a significant portion focused on cloud services or related technologies.Working knowledge of cross-domain solutions (CDS) implementations and a strong technical understanding of cloud infrastructure, services, and hybrid-cloud strategies.Proven track record of delivering complex customer architectures.Ability to document and create repeatable standard processes, tools, and frameworks for adoption at scale.Customer-obsessed mentality with a strong focus on delivering value to customers.Impeccable organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Excellent partner management skills with experience in building and nurturing strategic partnerships.Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to a variety of audiences.5 or more years of experience doing infrastructure solution architecture.3 or more years of experience building cloud architecture with AWS, Azure or GCP.Experience working in software integration to hardware platforms.Comprehensive knowledge in definition and management of software requirements, design, code, benchmark testing, debugging, software development lifecycle, architecture, and documentation.Familiarity with standard IT security practices such as encryption, certificates, and key management.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience working with government cloud services is a plus.Work Environment
This role starts with 5 days onsite and will require more time onsite upfront to meet with clients. While cloud-related work can be done remotely, this position will eventually involve a significant amount of work that needs to be completed on SIPR and a hardware component on base at Dahlgren. The extent of onsite requirements will vary as the project progresses.
