Senior Solutions Architect

We are looking for someone with:  

 

5-7 years of experience in Solution Architecture 

5-7 years of broad Financial Services experience 

5-7 years of experience in project delivery & Software Development Life Cycle (SLDC) 

5-7 years’ experience with e-business, digital and partner integration programs 

Extensive experience dealing with third parties including management of an offshore ADM center 

Experience working with remote/geographically dispersed teams including extensive travel 

Experience with Insurance customer channels including: Direct, Affinity, Agents, Brokers, GI and Bancassurance 

Experience in Application development, design & integration 

 

 

Nice to Haves:  

 

Application architecture and design patterns and best practices  

Microservices Architecture 

Java / Spring Boot 

Front-end technologies, preferably latest/recent Angular version 

APIGEE or similar API Management tool 

Salesforce Platform 

Cloud Technologies (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) 

Restful API standards and naming conventions 

 

 

On the job you will: 

 

Acts in the role of MITDC Application Architect working with vendors and Manulife Technical Leads to appropriately manage the application lifecycle of the platforms. 

Collaborates effectively with distributed IS teams in Canada, US and Asia · Foster’s development of business solutions and strategic business opportunities 

Works with Technical Domain and Enterprise architects to develop comprehensive solution 

architecture 

Creates phased implementation architectures that deliver on the future state according to business priorities 

Identifies architectural issues and risks and, if necessary, escalate them in a timely manner
