Senior SOX Analyst

Description We are seeking a Senior SOX Analyst to join our team in the Energy/Natural Resources industry in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley rules and regulations, manage related processes, and contribute to the improvement of business processes and internal control procedures. We are offering an exciting opportunity for this role.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations and accounting policies
• Collaborate in managing the Sarbanes-Oxley compliance process which includes documentation, reporting, testing, and administration
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency of key business processes and internal control procedures
• Regularly evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of procedures/controls to ensure transactions are properly recorded in compliance with SOX and GAAP
• Provide support on matters related to Sarbanes-Oxley, internal controls, remediation advice, and other compliance areas as needed
• Prepare, analyze and validate reports, financial statements and other records to assist internal and external audit efforts
• Demonstrate working knowledge of internal control requirements, Generally Accepted Accounting Principals, and accounting processes
• Ensure that accounting systems access and program changes are in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley rules and regulations
• Carry out economic and business analyses on special projects and proposals submitted to various company departments
• Act as a strategic resource to management, assisting in determining the appropriate analytical approach, preparing statistical analyses and interpreting results
• Assist in managing accounting projects. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required
• Familiarity with Archer is a significant plus
• Thorough understanding and experience with CobiT is essential
• Knowledge of Eaton is highly preferable
• Expertise in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is required
• Proficiency in various Accounting Functions is necessary
• Prior experience in Auditing is crucial
• Understanding of Business Process Functions is vital
• Strong Compliance skills are necessary
• Familiarity with the Coso Framework is a significant advantage
