POSITION OVERVIEW
The Specialist, ETRM Applications reports to the Manager, ETRM Applications and is responsible for documenting business requirements, application configuration, solution development, documenting technical requirements, testing, implementation and support of the Energy, Trading and Risk Management Business Applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
You will work with other Cheniere subject matter experts and will be responsible for documentation, configuration, development, testing and support of ETRM business applications, including but not limited to Endur, Zema, IMOS, and custom applications. The Specialist, ETRM Applications coordinates with vendors, DBAs, IT Infrastructure personnel, technical consultants, and other staff to deliver solutions.
Additional responsibilities:
Actively participates and leads requirements gathering, configuration, testing and implementation of ETRM application solutions Takes ownership of complex projects and assignments Ensures technical solutions are developed in the best way to meet functional specifications and adhere to Cheniere’s technology standards. May work on multiple projects concurrently and/or multiple high priority production support issues simultaneously. Works with ETRM team members to ensure core and custom solutions adhere to best practices. Investigates and resolves support problems through research and technical analysis. Coordinates with other team members to resolve issues Supports and delivers solutions related to ICE OTC and FUTS exchange integration Supports and delivers solutions related to EOD (PnL Reporting) workflow. Supports and delivers solutions related to custom integrations Facilitates user acceptance testing of delivered solutions Works with development staff to create and verify deployment runbooks Adheres to change management procedures Provides off-hours support when needed, including software deployments, post-deployment security patch testing, and other support-related activities. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Knowledge:
Extensive experience working in a commodity trading environment, designing, developing and implementing technical solutions to meeting complex business requirements. The ideal candidate would have experience in front, middle and back-office functions to include Natural Gas & Financial Deal Capture, Mark to Market and Risk Exposure, Gas Scheduling and/or Settlements and Accounting and Technical delivery leadership.

Communication Skills: Ability to articulate and document complex technical ideas and user requirements for business stakeholders. Facilitation: Ability to interact with business users and technical staff to drive out functional and/or technical requirements Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot system issues, identify solutions, and work under pressure. Customer Service: Skills in supporting users, providing training, and maintaining a high level of user satisfaction. Test Planning and Execution: Skills in creating and implementing test plans, conducting system and user acceptance testing, and tracking defects. Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritize tasks, and ensure projects are completed on schedule. Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis using SQL. Knowledge of Endur and/or Zema data models. Financial Acumen: Understanding of financial concepts, including derivatives, hedging, arbitrage, futures, and options. Risk Management: Ability to incorporate risk considerations into solutions as needed, including market risk, credit risk, and operational risk. Java, OpenJVS, OpenComponents Proficiency: Deep understanding of the Java programming language, its libraries, and related tools. Fluent understanding of OpenJVS and/or OpenComponents APIs. Database Skills: Experience with SQL and relational database systems like Oracle and SQL Server Version Control Systems: Familiarity with version control systems, like Git or Subversion, for tracking changes in the source code during software development. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot issues, debug code, and find effective solutions to coding problems. Security: Knowledge of Windows security practices, such as securing services using secure coding and deployment practices.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education, Training and Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT/related field or equivalent years of relevant experience
Experience:
Five (5) years of experience developing with OpenLink Endur, JVS and/or .NET and Oracle DBMS and PL/SQL, hands-on knowledge around configuration, customization, and integration using Openlink Endur. Experience with pricing systems such as Zema, or pricing / time-series systems is a plus Detail oriented and effective time management and strong analytical, organization and problem-solving skills. Dedicated, motivated, and results oriented and possess an ability to work with minimal supervision.

WORK CONDITIONS
