Senior Specialist, Federal Government Affairs (Based in Washington, D.C.)
About the RoleGap is looking for a passionate and driven Senior Specialist for our Federal Government Affairs team. In this role, you will be a key liaison between the government and Gap, advocating on our behalf and ensuring compliance with federal regulations. You will also provide strategic guidance and input on relevant legislative and regulatory issues.

Salary Range: $97,800 - $115,200
Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location.What You'll Do

Develop and execute government affairs strategies to increase Gap’s influence and visibility with the federal government. 

Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments to identify potential implications for Gap. 

Represent Gap before the federal government, advocating on behalf of the company and advocating for compliance with federal regulations. 

Provide guidance and input on relevant legislative and regulatory issues. 

Work collaboratively with other business partners to ensure a coordinated and effective government affairs strategy. 

Manage relationships with relevant external stakeholders and organizations. 

Prepare and deliver presentations and briefings to internal and external audiences. 

Develop and maintain strong relationships with government officials and other relevant stakeholders. 

Maintain a thorough understanding of the legislative and regulatory processes. 

Utilize excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

Stay organized and detail-oriented and possess a strong work ethic.

Support meetings with consultants, Public Policy Committee, and other key stakeholders. 

Who You Are

Minimum of 5 years of experience in government affairs or public policy

Proven track record of success in developing and executing government affairs strategies.

Thorough understanding of the legislative and executive process

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess a strong work ethic
