We are seeking the right candidate for the position as **Senior Mechanics Specialist** to join our Technology Development organization in Bjerringbro, Denmark. In the position, you will explore opportunities, develop, realize, and validate new innovations for pumps and pump solutions within the field of mechanics. You will do so by applying structural and fluid mechanical simulations to realize better, faster, _and_ cheaper concepts. For instance, this could be a new innovative concept for improving access to clean drinking water. + Scout, source, and develop new technologies within the field of mechanics to improve the performance and quality of future Grundfos products and solutions. + Drive capability building and provide technical support​in the field of structural mechanics. + Participate in university/partner collaborations​. + Synthesize product concepts by combining your expertise in mechanical design with technologies from various disciplines like fluid mechanics, sensors, and engineering materials. + Apply state-of-art development methods of which training will be part of your onboarding: + Simulation Driven Development within structural mechanics (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD). + Optimization studies to recognize sensitivities and areas of improvement in the design. + Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM). **Your background** + M.Sc. in mechanical engineering or similar. + 4-8 years of relevant work experience besides formal education. + Technical background/knowledge within FEA, CFD, and optimization. + Flair for mechanical design, as well as knowledge of manufacturing methods, engineering materials, and methods for concept development.
