The Senior Specialist, Quality Assurance, Ventures will provide service to the NA Venture’s Brand Categories. This position will interface with the Business Unit cross functional teams such as Marketing, R&D, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, CS&L, etc.  Working as part of a cross functional team, you will lead Quality activities to enable successful execution of the business objectives to maintain and grow our brands with an emphasis on delivering the desired consumer experience.

How you will contribute:

Leader of the end-to-end Brand quality strategy and master plan for agreed brands to enable delivery of the growth agenda through quality excellence.

Promote Consumer Inspired Quality (CIQ) behavior. Partner with R&D\MFG to ensure designing specifications and capability to meet the consumer needs.

Lead the discussion on CPM review in partnership with Operations Quality and Plant team to understand numbers, root cause analysis and corrective action planning.

Identification of complaint improvement plans for key drivers by brand.

Work with Consumer Conversations on identification of training for new products including but not limited to product script and virtual training to go over the potential new issues.

Success in this role will require collaboration, communication, strong technical skills, demonstrated influencing skills, and an understanding of the consumers and the business. You will be accountable for communicating with key stakeholders and influencing decisions based on conclusions derived from the analysis and interpretation of results.

Primary Responsibilities:

Quality representative on Category Commercialization Teams, ensuring all Category projects meet design, food safety and quality policy requirements as defined by the I2M commercialization process. Identify and apply consistent best practices and ways of working; lead and drive a culture of quality improvement, consumer focus, and value across the supply chain. Project types may include Line Extensions, Growth & Innovation, Productivity, Quality Improvement, and Well-Being, etc.

Lead the development of an End-to-End Brand Quality Strategy including Roadmaps for delivery. Develop and leverage cross functional connections to deploy and track execution of the strategy.

Advocate and drive accountability for End-to-End Consumer Inspired Quality (CIQ). Partner with R&D, Supply Chain, and the US business team to ensure consumer validated design, success criteria, execution, and continuous improvement.

Work to continually improve performance against key quality measures by proactively identifying opportunities and recommending solutions to protect and delight our consumers. This would be accomplished through trending and analysis of key performance indicators (e.g., consumer/customer contacts, sensory, CPM, RFT-Make).

Responsible for the day-to-day Brand responsibilities assigned including reviewing communications from Field Sales and Customer issues and then take appropriate actions to resolve.

Partner with North America Venture Manufacturers to reduce consumer complaints and quality defects with clear action plans and targets.

Strategy, Metrics and Reporting

Monitors, reports consumer and customer contacts/trends and identifies and directs appropriate corrective/preventive action plans with cross functional partners. (R/D, Marketing, Engineering, Operations) Escalating to ensure appropriate actions.

Complete monthly brand report with details around trends, drivers and action plans for complaints (NEW)

Lead Monthly Brand meetings with cross functional teams (Operations Quality, RD, Business Development, Marketing and Plant teams to review key data (NEW)

Participate in Quarterly Product Review by Brand which is organized by R/D

Participate in PIT or Customer meetings to support Quality improvement across the key brands

Partner with Quality execution for the recommended of Category Holds as it relates to a brand

Commercialization

Quality representative on cross-functional commercialization teams, ensuring all products meet design, food safety and quality policy requirements while following Idea to Market (I2M) business process. (Innovation, Productivity, Alternate Line Qualifications, etc).

Leader of the identification of risks, watch outs through 12M

Connectivity with Food Safety especially as it relates to HACCP Form L review and approvals

Attends FPA (first production approval) and issues approval to site.

Ensure that Quality Success Criteria is defined and CQV outlined and aligned to with business team for new launches

Qualifications:

B.S. degree in Food Science, Engineering, Microbiology, Chemistry, or other related Sciences

Minimum of 3 or more years of related experience (Quality, Supply Chain, Food Safety &/or R&D)

Experience working in a food manufacturing environment

Fundamental understanding of Sanitation, Hygienic Design, Pest Control, Quality, HACCP, and Food Safety principles

Highly proficient computer (MS Office)

Strong communication skills

Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work

Travel requirements:  Approximately 20% - 30% travel may be required for key project needs

The base salary range for this position is $106,300 to $146,200; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
