Job Description:
As a Sr. Quality Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining product quality and ensuring process integrity. Your responsibilities will include conducting product reviews, developing inspection procedures, analyzing complex specifications, and facilitating root cause analysis to implement effective corrective actions. You will also lead zero-defect initiatives and champion continuous improvement projects.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with teams across production, engineering, and supply chain to promote a unified quality approach throughout the organization. Utilizing data-driven recommendations and quality methodologies such as Six Sigma and FMEA, you will drive impactful solutions and improvements.
Essential Functions:
Proactively monitor, analyze, report and participate in the improvement of process and product performance employing proven Six Sigma methodologies.Lead failure analysis and drive effective root cause and corrective action efforts using complex problem solving methods to drive the development of technical solutions.Manage projects and/or processes with general supervision, and recommends enhancements to systems and processes.Work to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects with moderate impact on departmental results.Verify and validate product and processes, confirmation of conformance. Review and verify applicable contractual/customer requirements and ensure these are known and translated, as warranted, into operational plans and test procedures.Participate in the verification, validation and acceptance of proposed product design and process changes.Participate in the review and disposition of nonconforming product.Represents and communicates with the organization when interfacing with Customers and their agents (DCMA) throughout the production phase of their programs.As required, support the training, mentoring and coaching of lab and inspection personnel in the technical requirements of product.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.Preferred Additional Skills:
Experience in lean manufacturing and working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems is highly desired.Six Sigma Green Belt is a plusProficient in MS OfficeProficient in SQL Minitab or similar statistical software, and Microsoft VisioStrong statistical skills including 8D, DOE, SPC, PFMEA, and regression analysis.#LI-NR1
