The Importance of the Role
The Global Medical Affairs Senior Specialist plays an important role in executing operational tasks and supporting the Medical Strategy GMA Leads (GMALs) within the GMA function. This position will assist with a wide range of responsibilities to enhance the capacity of the team to focus on critical priorities and align communications, resources, and processes. This position also includes coordinator duties to support the overall operations of the team. This role is meant for a highly motivated and proactive individual who thrives in a cross-functional environment and in synthesizing insights to promote optimal team functioning. Communication and collaboration are critical, along with impeccable organization and attention to detail.The Opportunity to Make a Difference
Facilitate Global Medical Affairs Lead (GMAL) initiatives across the portfolio through vendor and project management and through tracking timelines, status, and deliverables.Partner with the Head of Function in defining and developing high-impact communications.
Support robust presentation, dashboard, and spreadsheet development and maintenance.
Organize and host various cross-functional team meetings, including GMA launch strategy, to foster information sharing, brainstorming and ongoing collaboration. Compile agendas, track action items, and create summaries for meetings.
Support contracting, budget planning and coordination for GMAL team, and quarterly business reviews.
Project manage and provide logistical support for planning and execution of Expert Committees, purposed to gain insights from key opinion leaders on topics relevant to therapeutic area or Sarepta program
Partner with the GMALs and cross-functional teams to plan for data disclosures (i.e. project manage development of materials for internal and external audience). Help ensure pull through of insights and scientific intelligence into planning of initiatives and development of resources.
Support congress logistics and medical debriefs
Work with team to identify MRC/PRC submission needs and work with vendor to ensure these are submitted and tracking with timelines
More about You
BA/BS degree in preferably in the life sciences with 5 - 7 years related experience or advanced degree with 2-5 years experience.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and computing skills are required.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously, with excellent follow-up skills.
Strong team player with a customer service mindset, a solution-oriented approach, keen attention to detail, and the ability to quickly learn and adapt. Ambition and a proactive attitude are highly valued.
Strong project management skills required.
Excellent technical skills with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to commute into the Cambridge office on an as needed basis.
