Job Description:

The L3Harris Technologies Enterprise Contracts team, part of the corporate Supply Chain, is responsible for negotiating commercial, domestic, and international contracts with suppliers valued at well over $2.7B total annually.  These contracts provide goods and services to the L3Harris Technologies corporate headquarters, to the company as a whole or across multiple segments or divisions. This role oversees, negotiates and executes a variety of contractual documents with suppliers, including non-disclosure agreements, software licenses, statements of work, general terms and conditions, data privacy addenda, and long-term agreements.   As a Senior Specialist, the individual filling this position will provide contractual guidance and direction regarding execution of enterprise supplier contracts with general oversight.  This role will oversee complex, multi-million-dollar contracting efforts, as well as managing processes that are both internal and external to the immediate job requirements.  The position requires managing multiple efforts simultaneously, along with flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing requirements and supplier negotiating tactics.  This position may also include subcontracting compliance activities, such as training, drafting and revising policy documents and procedures, and audit support.

Job Responsibilities:

Coordinate with internal stakeholders and customers to identify and articulate contract requirements and select the appropriate contract vehicle to meet those requirementsWork closely with other functions such as Quality, Strategic Sourcing, Risk Management, Finance, and Information Security to analyze and mitigate contract risk; coordinate all essential activity with legal counsel and obtain necessary approvals for contract negotiation, award and executionNegotiate contractual terms and conditions directly with suppliers, ensuring that the negotiated agreements minimize legal, commercial, and technical risk while maximizing revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow through innovative and creative contract formationAnalyze contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions, supplier exceptions, and other provisions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, and corporate policies and proceduresManage drafting and negotiation process to avoid unnecessary and detrimental delays and to obtain timely review and approvals Interpret and explain policies, procedures and practices and ensure compliance throughout the contract lifecycle Maintain contract repositories and other related online tools and ensure adequate documentation of all contract negotiation activitiesCommunicate potential risks and their impacts to internal customers and stakeholders and explain legal terms in a manner that they understandSupport sourcing activities and supplier selection in collaboration with stakeholders and the Category Management teamsRegularly track and report milestones, timelines, progress, issues and risks and brief stakeholders and senior leaders on these itemsMitigate performance risks and support change control processes and overall contract administration, including identifying and exercising contractual rights and remedies for contractor performance issues Understand the supply chain process and acquisition lifecycle, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend, initiate and implement enhancements to systems, processes and policies Support, guide, coach and train other Supply Chain and Procurement employees Advise and make recommendations to stakeholders, customers and other functions on contractual and business matters, including supporting organizations across the company with audits and mergers and acquisitions

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree with 6 years of prior relevant experience or Graduate Degree with 4 years of prior related experience.  Relevant experience includes negotiating contractual documents in either a commercial or government setting. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.Ability to handle large multiple projects simultaneously Microsoft Office suite proficiency, primarily MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with information technology contracting, including software, hardware and servicesJ.D. and/or legal experience drafting and interpreting contractsExperience with and knowledge of the Uniform Commercial Code and/or U.S. government contract regulations, primarily the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the Defense FAR Supplement  Subcontracting or contracting compliance experienceIndustry certification such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (Association for Supply Chain Management), Certified Professional in Supply Management (Institute for Supply Management), SCPro (Council of Supply Management Professionals), Certified Professional/Commercial/Federal Contract Manager (National Contract Management Association), or Project Management Professional (Project Management Institute)

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont, Washington State and New York State is $73,500 - $136,500. For California, Seattle, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area and New York City, the salary range for this role is $84,500 - $157,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
