Role Purpose/Business Unit:

 

The Senior Specialist: Internal Audit is responsible for conducting Finance, Business Process and Integrated Internal audits and ad hoc management requests in support of strengthening the control environment across the Vodacom Group of Companies. The audit work must be performed in line with the Vodacom Group Internal Audit methodology and professional standards. Following audit completion, the Senior Specialist will track the agreed management actions to closure. Developing and managing relationships with various client departments across Vodacom Group will be essential to the success of the role and enable the role-holder to provide input into the audit plan. Finally, the Senior Specialist will need to provide guidance and best practices to the Internal Audit team and client departments on relevant current and emerging topics. 

Your responsibilities will include:

 

Execute annual audit planManage and lead audit projectsDocument impactful audit reportsFollow-up on outstanding audit issuesManage relationships with senior stakeholdersProduce excellent quality audit workExecute the approved annual audit plan with minimal supervisionLead finance/business / integrated auditsEnsure that audits are performed in accordance with the requirements of the Internal Audit methodology and IIA standardsDocument high quality, impactful audit reportsEnsure that follow-ups are conducted as per the Internal Audit methodologyEnsure audit quality is maintained through self- and peer-review of audit work and reportsManage relationships with client departments Keep abreast of developments in  internal auditThe ideal candidate for this role will have:

 

Relevant Bachelor's degree (essential)Minimum of 5 years Audit experience (Essential) Internal Audit experience (advantage).  Experience in auditing in the telecommunications industry (advantage).General IT Controls  experience (advantage)Internal Audit Certification i.e. Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) (Essential)
