What you'll do :
Design and implementation of automation workflows for consistent deployment of Disaster Recovery systems incl. database and file system replication and preparation of network routing Lead and execute builds of Disaster Recovery for non-standard solutions in the ECS portfolio Participate in the evaluation of new visualization and platform technologies such as VMware or public IaaS solutions like Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure Support troubleshooting of exceptional cases in a 3rd level support role. This includes communication with customers on technical and operations topics, handle escalated customer cases Creating knowledge transfer and technical documentation, incl. technical operational concepts, process flows and guidelines
What you'll bring:
Solid Technical hands-on experience with SAP technologies like SAP BASIS, SAP NetWeaver, Business Objects, SAP HANA and SAP Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE). Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems. Knowledge of network management concepts and tools in an enterprise environment. Installing and configuring SAP technology-based systems. Experience in implementing replication scenarios for SAP systems and databases. Experience in automation of cloud operations processes– ideally based on SAP’s SPC Procedure platform and on OS script programming Cloud Mindset and previous work experience in a Cloud Operations organization running SAP NetWeaver based systems on a large scale, preferably previous exposure to SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud or comparable organizations. Experience in ITIL and IT Service Management processes such as Incident Management, Event Management / Monitoring, Change Request Management. Experience in creating and analysing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports. Knowledge on project management methodologies such as SCRUM You should have good analytical and solution oriented thinking as well as good communication, presentation and networking skills. Fluency in English language is required as well. Communication with customers on technical and operations topics, ability to handle escalated customer cases. Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems. Basic know-how around database and filesystem replication and preparation of network routing.

The Application Last Line of Defence in SAP ECS is the group of experts responsible for the continuous availability, performance of the customer applications hosted in ECS. This team focuses on Critical incident troubleshooting and service Requests and ensures timely resolution. With both NetWeaver and Non-NetWeaver Application experts, this team provides a wide range of opportunities to upskill, work with various internal teams resolve critical issues also drive important initiatives within the Organisation. As part of ECS Delivery, the Disaster Recovery team focuses on implementing standardized processes to provide Disaster Recovery systems to our customers. This includes developing automation of cloud deployment and operations as well as co-innovating with customers and other SAP teams to setup first time builds of new SAP solutions in the ECS portfolio. Within the Product Engineering board area, the mission of the ECS Delivery organization is to run and operate SAP’s private cloud offering. Isolated private cloud landscapes are built for customers both in SAP owned datacenter as well as on IaaS infrastructure provided by hyperscalers like Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
