Our Environmental Compliance product team is responsible for the end-to-end DevOps lifecycle for SAP-based solutions for product safety, dangerous goods, labelling, hazardous substances, waste, and environmental protection to ensure compliance for BASF to operate in global markets.

In your new role, you will be part of an agile product team, taking charge of designs, estimations and ongoing activities to define and setup effective and efficient solutions in the area of EHS substance volume tracking and Safety Data SheetYou will perform development and configuration activities in SAP EHS using your experience in design and coding best practices to build high-quality components and solutions matching SAP standard extensibility conceptsYou will support and drive projects as well as change request activities in several SAP ERP environments based on SAP S/4 and SAP R/3Further, you will cultivate positive relationships, collaborating with the Process owner, other product teams such as Order to Cash or Manufacturing, and stakeholders from various divisions.In addition, you will apply your skills in requirements engineering, design, development, and configuration to build and operate high-quality components and solutions.You will utilize and enlarge your area of expertise into other areas of the product team’s portfolio to aid BASFs operational divisions in maintaining efficient processes that comply with regulatory and legal requirements.QUALIFICATIONS Degree in chemistry, business informatics, administration, or in a comparable fieldMinimum of 5 years of professional SAP ABAP development experience, and a good understanding of system background in both SAP R/3 and SAP S/4 environments.At least 3 years of in-depth DevOps experience in function design, configuration, enhancing, and testing of SAP Product Safety and EHS solutions especially report shipping and substance volume tracking applicationsAbility to work in a multicultural and virtual environment within an agile frameworkCustomer focused approach to troubleshooting, reason and resolve problemsExperience in using agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)Demonstrated willingness and ability to welcome and drive change, coupled with an entrepreneurial spiritExcellent English skills, additional German skills beneficialBENEFITS A secure work environment because your health, safety and wellbeing is always our top priority.Flexible work schedule and Home-office options, so that you can balance your working life and private life.Learning and development opportunities23 holiday days per year5 additional days (readjustment)2 cultural daysA collaborative, trustful and innovative work environment Being part of an international team and work in global projectsRelocation assistance to Madrid providedAt BASF, the chemistry is right.
