Senior Specialist Social Impact

May consider candidates from other states also.** **I. Job Summary** This role will support WM's social good initiatives related to Social Impact and Community Engagement across the company. This role will help address environmental and social issues in communities where we live and work. This will include connecting with neighbors and local leadership to fill gaps in communities. The Social Impact Senior Specialist will report to the Social Impact Senior Manager and will work closely with team members within Sustainability Impact to elevate WM's ability to propel engagement for our programs and enable meaningful engagement in communities. **II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities** + Support the execution of enterprise-wide social impact programs aligned with WM’s sustainability and social impact objectives. + Maintain impact reporting to help report progress towards WM’s community goals and support storytelling to amplify WM’s sustainability ambition, Communities are Thriving. + Provide tactical programmatic support to bring enterprise-wide initiatives to fruition, including engaging with a broad stakeholder group. + Facilitate partner support between the corporate SI team and business leaders. + Respond to business needs and community priorities to help enable meaningful engagement in all communities. + Facilitate best-practice training to embed purpose programs across the enterprise. + Prepare ongoing benchmarking research to ensure WM maintains a leadership role in sustainability and across social good programs. + Support employee engagement and other corporate campaigns that amplify our commitment to communities. **III. Qualifications** The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job. **Must live and work in the US.** A. Education and Experience + Education: Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Nonprofit Studies, Social Services, Communications or related field, or in lieu of degree required. High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four (4) years of related experience required. + Experience: 3 years previous experience in Social Impact/Community team at a Fortune 500 companyi(in addition to education requirements) required. B. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required + Work effectively in a fast-paced, diverse and collaborative team environment. + Work as an individual contributor to support overarching goals. + Strong written, grammatic and communication skills to prepare efficient and effective communications and presentations. Must be comfortable presenting. + Strong project management capabilities, especially outlining project timelines and managing nonprofit engagements. + Data analysis and assessment experience. + Innovative mindset to identify unique solutions for work challenges. + Proficient with Microsoft Office suite. **Benefits** At WM, each eligible employee receives a competitive total compensation package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and Short-Term Disability.
