SRE and Operations Engineer – as a part of Ipsos’s SRE team is responsible for providing
automated processes related to building and deploying software in GCP/AWS/Azure and managed hosting,
developing scripts/software necessary for all activities done by the SRE team;
3.2 Main activities
§ Handle operations related to monitoring/alerting of SLA-critical production platforms, resolving issues and
manual intervention (close cooperation with software development and Ipsos Dev teams);
§ Ensure the functioning of applications for projects throughout the organization;
§ Be part of a 24/7 on-call SRE team;
§ Work as a member of a Scrum team;
§ Apply software engineer mindset and practices;
§ Maintain fully automated infrastructure as a code to integrate into a CI/CD pipeline;
§ Being involved in maintaining platforms after going live by measuring and monitoring their availability,
performance, and overall system health;
§ Offer support for production environment by monitoring availability, latency, and quality of data;
§ Resolve operational challenges and support escalation.
§ Help build Postmortems Reports with a focus on improving performance further;
§ Perform cyclical maintenance and updates of the operational landscape (software versions, patches, support
to vendor SW/HW maintenance activities, etc.).
