The Senior Staff Accountant position will work closely with members of the Finance Department to accomplish day-to-day activities and will hold various responsibilities within monthly accounting close, reconciliations, analysis, and financial reporting activities.\n

Job Responsibilities:\n\nPerform month-end closing tasks such as preparing journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations\nPerform audit tasks and assist external auditors\nFinancial report creation\nAd hoc reporting\nCreate\/maintain supporting schedules, including but not limited to fixed asset capitalization, prepaid\/deferred expense, and other account schedules and reconciliations\nMulti-state sales tax reporting\nStay up to date with US GAAP and FASB changes and work with Department management to implement new pronouncements and standards.\nPerform other duties and special projects as requested by management\n\n

Requirements:\n\nFour-year college degree in accounting or equivalent\nCPA or CPA track preferred\n3+ years of work experience in corporate or public accounting\nStrong working knowledge in US GAAP including full understanding on financial statements, income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement\nExperience in financial audit\nProficient user of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook\nExperience with Microsoft Great Plains is a plus\nStrong organizational skills and the ability to multi tasks to meet deadlines is essential\nFlexible and able to quickly adapt to changes resulting from a growing business environment\nMust be accurate and highly detail oriented\nWork as part of a team as well as independently\nPositive attitude, excellent verbal, and written communication skills\n\n
