Pacifica Hotels is looking for a Senior Staff Accountant to join the team! The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for ensuring the issuance of accurate and timely financial statements.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close for Corporate, Commercial properties, and Partnerships. Supports in reconciling bank accounts, credit card transactions, and other financial accounts. Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts and Balance Sheets by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies. Journal entries to record intercompany charges. Deposit corporate, commercial, and partnership checks and record receipt. Analyze corporate expenses, including comparisons to forecasted results and trended results. Perform intercompany billback reconciliations across hotels, commercial entities, corporate, and partnership accounts to ensure accuracy, proper allocation, and timely resolution of discrepancies. Effectively communicate with all members of the accounting department, both corporate and hotel accounting, to improve processes and to achieve overall department goals and objectives. Working with external tax consultants for Income Tax returns preparation and research. Excellent interpersonal skills including excellent verbal and written communication skills. Correspond with other departments to ensure proper accounting of A/P and A/R. Review and document internal control procedures consistent with industry standards. Assist the Accounting Manager with specific projects and responsibilities as needed.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business with an emphasis in Accounting, or a related field or equivalent experience Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, balance sheets, income tax and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Excellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication skills. Excellent computer skills; experience in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite. Salary Range: $75,000-$90,000
