Senior Staff Accountant – Accounts Receivable

The role of the Sr. Staff Accountant is to support the timely and accurate delivery of billing, collection, and dispute and process management service to the external customers of the business. This position is also responsible for A/R and Stored Value Card journal entries and account reconciliations.

The Sr. Staff Accountant role will first support the transition of the current A/R processes away from our care center personnel and into Olive Branch, Mississippi.  This role requires someone with excellent communication skills who can work independently with the various business partners on the transition and support A/R Management in continued process refinement.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Perform assigned day to day activities of Account Receivable Department Perform cash application to ensure all cash receipts are properly applied Perform timely and accurate invoicing Prepare and upload manual journal entries for A/R and Stored Value Cards in Oracle Cloud ERP Perform monthly general ledger account reconciliations for A/R and Stored Valued Cards Partner with external business partners and customers sales to find solutions to customer issues Support the transition of A/R operations currently being completed outside of accounting to the Olive Branch A/R team. Support the implementation of Oracle A/R by performing assigned user access testing test scripts

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree with Accounting Major Minimum of two years of accounting experience; public company or public accounting experience a plus Strong systems and analytical skills with high attention to detail; Oracle Cloud ERP experience a plus Superior knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, etc. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Knowledge and understanding of A/R process Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
