Your Mission

The Commercial Affairs and Business Development & Strategy organizations are building a best-in-class team in support of Stellantis’ new Software Group and adding a talented Senior Counsel. Stellantis is seeking an experienced, talented, dynamic, and creative Senior Counsel to provide legal support to a variety of internal customers and external partners. This person must thrive in a fast- paced environment, deliver as a way of life and be inspired to make a positive impact. A successful candidate will not only demonstrate a passion for understanding "the end goal" but will be capable of offering smart solutions at the pace of the business. 
  
The Attorney will serve as a trusted advisor and business partner to diverse business units across Stellantis, both domestically and internationally. This Attorney will be expected to establish and maintain effective working relationships, founded on trust and transparency, with our internal and external partners and to address complex legal and business issues in an accurate, clear and thorough manner. He/she must exercise sound judgment and have excellent communication skills. The ability to drive decisions to consensus and influence change are a must. 
  
Primary responsibilities include, but not limited to: drafting and negotiating new business agreements, providing daily legal counsel and support to the Stellantis Software BD & Strategy group.  Additional responsibilities may include supporting other organizations, on an ad hoc basis. The candidate may also be called upon to support related litigation and compliance activities.  The candidate must be prepared to support a fast-changing automotive landscape, marked by autonomous vehicle technology, connectivity and a transformative consumer data platform. 

 

As a member of the Team your mission is to support the overall Software business through new strategies or partnerships.  Our ambition is to be industry-leaders and define new revenue streams for the company.   

 Basic Qualifications:

Juris Doctor degree with a strong academic background  Minimum of 12 years experience including complex transactional agreements, new business partnerships & models, external negotiations, data privacy, subscription businesses, and international law Admitted to practice law in Michigan or able to gain admission

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Automotive experience Law firm experience working with commercial agreements and negotiating contracts  Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse cross functional teams (particularly Business Development), and gain trust and confidence with colleagues at varying management levels including executive management  Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to critical deadlines  Strong sense of inclusion and teamwork  Excellent leadership and collaboration skills  Excellent writing, oral communication, analytical, and organizational skills  Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving, challenging, highly-matrixed global environment  Ability to multi-task and manage a large volume of concurrent, often competing, priorities EOE / Disability / Veteran
