Ford Model E Infotainment Infrastructure Team is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Manager to lead our talented team of engineers in developing cutting edge Apple CarPlay and Android Auto projection experiences and integrating them seamlessly with the Android Automotive OS.

You'll have…

B.S. in Electrical, Computer Engineering or Computer Science. 3+ years of experience of managing and leading engineering teams in the automotive or consumer electronics domain. 10+ years of hands-on experience in software development. Experience with developing and integrating different projection stacks like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Experience on Android Automotive OS. Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and a passion for innovation.

Even better, you may have…

M.S. in Electrical, Computer Engineering or Computer Science. Experience negotiating with hardware and software vendors. Experience in Yocto Embedded Linux build infrastructure. Experience in hypervisor and virtualization.

What you'll do...

Lead, mentor and inspire a team of highly skilled software engineers specializing in Apple CarPlay & Android Auto Projection stack development and integration into Android Automotive OS.   Foster a collaborative and high performing team culture that embraces innovation and continuous improvement. Define and drive technical roadmap for projection features and integration aligning with overall product strategy and market trends. Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to implementation, testing and deployment. Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet performance, reliability and scalability requirements. Collaborate closely with product managers, designers and other stakeholders to define product specification and ensure successful execution. Champion engineering best practices, including code reviews, unit testing and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD). Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices, particularly in the areas of multimedia frameworks, automotive infotainment and Android development. Manage team performance, conduct performance reviews and identify opportunities for professional growth and development.
