As Staff/Senior Staff Field Applications Scientist here at Illumina you will be responsible for enabling customer success within your territory, you will partner with customers to provide technical training, troubleshooting, and complaint resolution. This role will act as a specialist within Single Cell support success of Single Cell RNA sequencing and will support our customers across Europe within this speciality.
This is a remote role to be based in the UK, you will be required to travel Europe Wide up to 50%. It is essential to have a valid driving license for the role, along with Fluent English language skills.

Responsibilities:
Pre-sales activities support, including consultation on complex lab and experimental design, workflow implementation and data analysis and storage.Partner with Commercial sales stakeholders to develop and execute strategic plans for winning new business, expanding current customer install base and ensuring customer and business success through consulting, workshops, presentations, demonstrations, and seminars.Manage complex, large-scale customer workflow implementations/installations and assist with customer onboarding.Conduct on-site/virtual customer trainings for Illumina portfolio in area of expertise.Ability to manage high-priority projects and responsibilities to drive overall departmental goals.Responsible for customer relationship management, understanding customer goals, setting appropriate product and performance expectations and utilizes intelligence regarding competitive intel to remove barriers and identify new sales opportunities. Support Illumina in making our customers the heroes.Support internal stakeholders as subject matter expert to resolve customer complaints related to the workflow of expertise. Assist Regional Product Support in customer elevations and utilize appropriate internal resources to resolve customer issue and manage customer expectations.Support New Product Introductions by providing alpha/beta test feedback, serve as departmental lead on product core teams, some activities include writing technical bulletins, SOPs, and internal training materials.Evaluate risk of technical updates and provide guidance to regional field teams to effectively plan and communicate changes to internal and external stakeholders to drive customer success.Lead departmental project teams; create regional strategies and activities to address support needs. Ensure project goals are aligned with business/departmental objectives and work collaboratively to drive successful execution of project plans, track, manage and communicate progress to team and stakeholders.Participate and collaborate with Commercial function (Sales/Marketing/Support) to solicit competitive customer feedback, to understand competitor activities and innovations within the marketplace and to incorporate market trends into strategy development.Demonstrate mentorship and coaching skills to junior members of the team and to colleagues.Represent the company professionally, ethically, and morally at all times.Requirements:
Excellent knowledge of genomics, sequencing applications and Illumina technology.Experience in single cell RNA sequencing preferred.Experience with primary cell culture, tissue dissociation, cell sample preparation preferred.Strong experience with hands on work within a laboratory, molecular biology techniques and general lab best practices.Experience with single cell bioinformatic analysis preferred.Ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders at different levels both internally and externallyOutstanding written, verbal, presentation, and training skills, capable of conveying complex information with clarity.Proven ability to resolve complex customer issues whilst maintaining positive customer relationsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsDemonstrate a customer-first mindset to ensure customer successAbility to work independently and collaborate within a teamAbility to successfully operate in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.Capacity to maintain composure in stressful situations.Must be willing to travel up to 50% across EuropeExperience/Education:
