Let’s define tomorrow together. Our Network Operations team works around the clock running United’s global operation, safely, reliably and efficiently. From dispatching and routing our fleet to coordinating with maintenance line planning and crew scheduling, this team makes caring connections with our internal customers and ultimately, United’s customers. From pushback to landing, the Network Operations team is the eyes and ears on the ground no matter where in the world your United flight takes you. **Key Responsibilities:** The Senior Staff Representative – Network Operations Policy and Procedures will play a critical role in ensuring standardized practices, policies, and procedures across all Network Operations groups. This position will focus on establishing and documenting essential standards to support key projects, including the Unimatic exit, and enabling the successful execution of future initiatives. The role is vital to maintaining operational excellence, ensuring compliance, and driving alignment across the organization. + **Policy & Procedure Development** – Develop, document, and maintain standardized policies and procedures across all Network Operations groups to ensure consistency, compliance, and operational efficiency + **Stakeholder Collaboration** – Partner with cross-functional teams, including Safety, Training, DT, and Operations leadership, to drive alignment, gather input, and ensure seamless policy integration across departments + **Project Support & Execution** – Lead the development of policies and procedures supporting key initiatives, including the Unimatic exit, to ensure a smooth transition and successful implementation of future projects + **Operational Alignment & Compliance** – Ensure all documented policies align with regulatory requirements, company standards, and industry best practices while maintaining a strong focus on operational excellence + Attend and participate in United and industry meetings relating to Network Operations, and work with other divisions, addressing opportunity to align with IATA and other standard methodologies to enable the continuous improvement of processes + **Continuous Improvement & Standardization** – Regularly assess and refine policies and procedures to enhance efficiency, address emerging operational needs, and support a culture of continuous improvement within Network Operations **Qualifications** What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications): + Bachelor’s degree in aviation, business, operations management, or a related field or 4 years of relevant work experience in Network Operations, policy development or regulatory compliance + 3+ years’ experience in airline operations, network operations, policy development or a related field + Experience with operational procedures, compliance, and process standardization + Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting ideas and concepts to leadership and the ability to document and standardize complex processes + Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Teams + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills + Strong project management and organizational skills + Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and drive alignment + Ability to develop and implement standardized procedures and policies + Ability to analyze complex operational challenges and provide structured solutions + Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple priorities + Ability to engage and influence collaborators across various levels of the organization + Ability to work general business hours but adjust as needed for working with team members in India + Up to 10% domestic & international travel + Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship + Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification + Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position **What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):** + 2 years’ experience in a leadership role + Project management or process improvement certifications (e.g. Six Sigma, PMP) are a plus + Background in investigations, written summaries and presenting to senior leadership + Familiarity with emerging operational technologies + Strong understanding of airline operations, policies and regulatory requirements The base pay range for this role is $79,800.00 to $108,790.00. The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
