Stryker’s Mako Robotics division is advancing the field of orthopedic surgery with robotic-assisted technology that enhances surgical precision and patient outcomes. As a Robotics Engineer on our team, you’ll design, develop, and optimize control algorithms, dynamic models, and innovative solutions for the next generation of Mako’s robotic systems. This role work cross-functionally to ensure our robotics platform remains at the forefront of the industry.

This role is on-site in Weston, FL.
**What You Will Do**
+ Design and develop control algorithms and software to support advanced robotics functionalities.
+ Create and validate kinematic and dynamic models to enhance the performance and accuracy of the robotic arm.
+ Independently implement complex algorithms, author technical documentation, and drive testing processes to optimize reliability.
+ Evaluate and integrate new technologies, providing insights that shape future product innovation.
+ Contribute to cross-functional projects, collaborating with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, and Clinical teams to ensure seamless project execution.
+ Actively participate in project meetings and design reviews to align objectives and drive successful project outcomes.
+ Identify process improvements and help develop policies and procedures that enhance team efficiency and product quality.
**What You Need**
**Required:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or other related discipline required
+ 6+ years of industry experience required.
+ Proficiency in advanced control techniques for robotic or haptic systems.
+ Experience in robotic modeling, including kinematics and dynamics.
+ Knowledge of modeling and simulation languages (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink).
+ Familiarity with various sensors, actuators, motors, and controller technologies.
**Preferred:**
+ Real-time programming skills in C or C++.
