We are seeking senior leaders like you to help shape the vision and define the strategy for this space.

The impact you will have:

Drive key feature areas for Unity Catalog like Lineage and Tagging, by planning and leading large-scale technical projects. Build architecture design, influence product roadmap, and take ownership and responsibility over new projects. Lead systems debugging, performance measurement & optimization on large production clusters. Introduce tools to allow greater automation and operability of services. Use your deep experience to help prevent and investigate production issues. Contribute as a Technical Lead by mentoring others, lead project planning, delegating work to team members.

What we look for:

BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related majors, or equivalent experience. 15+ years of experience building large scale distributed systems with high availability 5+ years of technical leadership experience building complex production systems Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrable bias toward action. Leadership skills and experience to lead across functional and organizational lines Comfortable working towards a multi-year vision with incremental deliverables.

 

Pay Range Transparency

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles.  Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above. Zone 1 Pay Range$232,000—$313,000 USD
