**9563BR** **Position Title:** Senior Staff Specialist to the CHRO **Organization:** Human Resources **Job Responsibilities:** Responsibilities for this position include support of HR’s programs and initiatives. Specific responsibilities include overseeing all administrative matters for the CHRO, managing the operations of the CHRO’s office suite, including providing support across a range of tasks, handling confidential budgetary and sensitive personnel information, and managing the recruitment process for searches that report to the CHRO. This position manages the CHRO’s office communications and complex calendar, coordinates CHRO’s workflow and action items, and supports various projects and initiatives assigned by the CHRO. The Senior Staff Specialist is expected to forge productive working partnerships with colleagues to enhance the contributions of the Human Resources within the larger community. This position interacts with RIT senior leadership, including the President’s office, the Board of Trustees, information technology professionals, faculty, staff, and the RIT community at large. The ideal candidate will be a skilled communicator, familiar with all methods of office and administrative operations, as well as the issues, trends, and concerns for human resources and institutions of higher education. Acting as an assistant to the CHRO, the Senior Staff Specialist should be an independent worker and a self-starter who fosters positive interactions with others. Skills: + Proven ability in developing and managing integrated administrative and communications activities. + Technological competence, computer mastery using database software, Microsoft Office Suite, Drupal, and social media technologies. + Proven aptitude as a communicator including superior written, oral, and presentation skills and the ability to constructively edit others' work. + Ability to work under tight and changing deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. + Proven skills in project management, organized with and a track record of having superb attention to detail. + Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. + Maturity and judgment, self-motivated/take initiative.
