What You Can Expect

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, write, and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, and reference materials, tailored for the semiconductor industry.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and quality assurance, to gather and understand technical information.Utilize DITA (Darwin Information Typing Architecture) to create modular and reusable content, ensuring consistency and efficiency in documentation.Design and implement information architecture strategies to establish efficient file structure and data hierarchy.Develop and maintain XSLT and CSS-based stylesheets, making necessary changes based on company styling and customer requirements.Conduct comprehensive reviews of existing documentation workflows and identify areas for improvement and optimization.Organize and track tool enhancements and bug tickets utilizing project management software (Jira).Manage documentation projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.Assist in creation and editing of technical diagrams and illustrations.Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in technical writing and information architecture.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, engineering, or related fields, or equivalent experience.Minimum of 5 years of experience as a technical writer in the semiconductor industry or a related high-tech field.Proven expertise in using DITA for content development and management.Strong understanding of information architecture principles and best practices.Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.Ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear, concise, and user-friendly manner.Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.Proficiency in structured and unstructured authoring tools, such as Oxygen XML and Adobe FrameMaker.Demonstrated experience using component content management systems (CCMS) and versioning software, such as git/SVN or Adobe AEM.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams across multiple locations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a semiconductor or electronics manufacturing environment.Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.Knowledge of the DITA Open Toolkit, HTML, CSS, and other web technologies.Proficiency with technical illustration tools (Visio, Adobe Illustrator).

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

44 - 66, $ per hour.

The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
