Location: Marlborough, MassachusettsJob Type: ContractCompensation Range: $37 - 40 per hourWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Store Planner to join our client's team and lead the development of fixture plans and architectural criteria drawings for new stores, relocations, expansions, remodels, and special projects across multiple client chains. In this role, you will make design and layout decisions that enhance both customer and associate in-store experiences, ultimately driving sales. You will also provide guidance to Store Planners and outside consultants, ensuring all projects meet planning guidelines and site-specific criteria.Responsibilities: Develop site-specific plans, making design and layout decisions for new stores, relocations, expansions, remodels, and special projects, ensuring adherence to Client standards, budget guidelines, and local building codes. Collaborate with Store Planning Management, Design, Store Operations, and Merchandise Planning teams to enhance overall store layouts and customer experience. Create architectural drawings in line with Client standards and construction specifications, balancing design with operational needs and timelines. Troubleshoot and resolve site-specific challenges during the planning, drawing, and construction phases, communicating changes and resolving scheduling conflicts with internal and external teams. Ensure timely and accurate distribution and archiving of drawings and project data to meet store opening schedules. Review site surveys for design-build stores, analyzing data to facilitate design decisions and develop site-specific plans. Assist Store Planning Management in training Store Planners and outside consultants, ensuring that all projects adhere to planning guidelines and prototypical requirements. Manage special projects as assigned, ensuring delivery of high-quality work on time. Qualifications: Minimum 8 years of experience in retail design, store planning, interior design, or architecture. Proficiency in REVIT and AutoCAD is required. Experience with retail store and fixture layout is preferred. Strong understanding of retail store operations, building architecture, construction procedures, and related codes. Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment. Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
