Position Overview:
TrueNAS is redefining enterprise storage with the world’s most trusted Open Source platform—and we’re looking for proven closers to drive our next phase of growth. As a Senior Strategic Account Executive, you’ll tap into your network and outbound expertise to build high-velocity pipelines, close strategic deals, and expand our presence across enterprise and channel markets. This is a fully remote role in the US (EST or CST time zone)
Base Pay Range
The base salary for this position ranges from $20,000 to $40,000 USD annually, with an on-target earnings (OTE) potential of $300,000 to $600,000 through commission.
Please note that the provided range reflects the pay spectrum for positions within the same job category as the one to which this position belongs. The final offer will consider various factors, such as location, education, and prior experience, to ensure a comprehensive and fair compensation assessment.

This position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, a maximum of 90 days.
The Day-to-Day
The essential functions and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Leverage a strong personal network and executive-level relationships to identify, prospect, and close new enterprise and channel business for TrueNAS storage solutions Independently build and manage a high-velocity pipeline of net-new opportunities, driven primarily by self-sourced leads and strategic outbound efforts Drive the entire sales cycle from initial contact and qualification through to contract negotiation and deal closure Develop and execute comprehensive account strategies for high-potential prospects, including VARs, MSPs, and Fortune 1000 organizations Create and deliver compelling proposals and pricing packages; accurately forecast and close opportunities to exceed individual and team sales targets Demonstrate a consistent record of success winning deals against incumbent legacy vendors and large enterprise competitors Maintain expert-level knowledge of the TrueNAS product portfolio and positioning; clearly articulate the business value, technical benefits, and ROI of our solutions to both technical and executive buyers Continuously track and analyze market trends, competitor moves, and partner activities to inform sales strategy and differentiate in a crowded marketplaceCollaborate with Sales Engineers and Sales Management to secure bookings. Collaborate with Sales Engineers for customer/prospect configurations. Document sales activities within Salesforce.
Education and Experience
Proven, extensive, and verifiable network of business contacts and decision-makers in that can be readily converted into sales opportunities Demonstrated success in a 100% commission-based or heavily commission-driven sales role, consistently exceeding targets Highly autonomous, self-driven, and motivated by uncapped earning potential Comfortable being the “underdog” and not just leveraging a name brand to open doors Self-starter, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and capable of multitasking Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving, planning, and time management skills A positive, can-do, team-oriented attitude.
