Senior Strategic Advisor, Strategic Value
**Job Description** We are seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Senior Strategic Advisor, Strategic Value to support developing and implementing cost management strategies, supporting strategic planning initiatives, and ensuring efficiency across the organization. You will collaborate with senior leadership to make data-driven decisions and drive cost-effective business practices that align with the company's long-term goals. The role sits within the Enterprise Strategy and Performance Execution division, reporting to the Director of Strategic Value. **What You’ll Do** : + Develop and implement strategies to monitor, manage, and reduce costs across various departments. Track and report on cost-saving initiatives and their impact. + Conduct cost-benefit analysis and assess data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost reduction. + Partner with senior management to provide insights on areas for strategic investment and cost optimization. + Design key performance indicators (KPIs) intelligence for cost management and ensure departments are on track to meet operational targets. + Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing processes to streamline operations, reduce waste, and improve profitability. + Create detailed reports and presentations for management to communicate the results of cost management initiatives and strategic recommendations. + Work closely with departments such as finance and operations to ensure alignment on financial goals and cost-saving measures. + Identify risks related to cost management strategies and propose mitigation plans. **What You Bring:** + Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required) + 5+ years of experience in related field. + In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field. **Bonus Points:** **_(Preferred qualifications)_** + 5+ years of experience in the areas of project management, cost management, or strategic planning strongly preferred. + Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, financial modeling, and data visualization tools). + Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex information into actionable insights. + Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail. + Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Experience with project management or business transformation initiatives. + Familiarity with business intelligence tools **What You’ll Get:** Blue Cross NC is truly a great place to work – and we have the hardware to prove it. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets, licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs.
