SMX is seeking a Senior Strategic Analyst to support the U.S. Southern Command, Resources and Analysis Directorate, Counter Narcotics Division (SCJ84). In this position you will play a crucial role in driving growth and success of SOUTHCOM CN Operations.  As a Senior Strategic Analyst you will lead the strategic analysis team and collaborate with USSOUTHCOM components, and military services and Office of Secretary of Defense – Counter Narcotics and Stabilization Policy (DASD-CN/SP) to analyze performance data, identify opportunities for improvement, and contribute to strategic decision-making.

This position requires a DoD TS/SCI security clearance which requires US citizenship for work on DoD contracts.

 Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of our strategies and initiatives Develop and maintain performance dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights to stakeholders Collaborate with multiple teams to gather data and information required for analysis Identify trends and patterns in data to identify areas of improvement and make recommendations for optimization Monitor and evaluate the progress of strategic initiatives and provide regular updates to the SOUTHCOM CN Staff leaders Assist in the development and implementation of performance measurement frameworks and methodologies Conduct research and market analysis to identify best practices and benchmarks Present findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders

 Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field, or 4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a fast-paced and dynamic environment Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze large volumes of data Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, SQL, and Tableau Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Attention to detail and a strong commitment to producing accurate and reliable reports Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines

The proposed salary for this position is:$93,000—$156,400 USD
