As a Strategic Category Analyst at Micron Technology, you will be responsible for driving global construction related cost analytics and modeling, reporting, and cost reduction initiatives to achieve project cost targets aligning with strategic objectives. You will work with your team members and customers across Micron’s global sites, working collaboratively to ensure Micron meets current profitability objectives and achieves future cost-down aspirations. You will collaborate with various sourcing and engineering teams, finance, site leaders and other collaborators. You will be at the forefront of driving and implementing cross-functional cost objectives and plans to achieve overall project cost targets. You will standardize cost analysis practices and leverage technology to enhance insights and find opportunities. You will also establish methodologies with team members, ensuring flawless integration into business practices. You will maintain key internal metrics, evaluate construction market conditions, trends, supply & demand challenges, and other pertinent construction dynamics. **As a Strategic Category Analyst** **- Construction** **at Micron Technology, your key responsibilities will be as follow:** + **Cost Objectives** **and Planning** **:** Develop and implement cost objectives and plans to achieve overall construction project cost targets. + **Data Analysis** : Analyze construction category using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. find opportunitiesfor cost savings and deliver recommendations to support the strategic direction. + **Performance Tracking** : Monitor cost performance across key dimensions, including the overall project and critical areas. + **Customer Alignment** : Ensure all key team members have a clear understanding of cost tracking and control mechanisms; ensure data integrity and accessibility. + **Accountability and Goal Reinforcement** : Hold workstreams accountable for meeting targets and emphasize the importance of goals and deadlines. + **Cross-Functional Collaboration** : Work with cross-functional teams to identify project cost opportunities that enhance competitiveness and ensure successful project execution. Facilitate ideation and evaluation sessions across different functions. + **Framework Development:** Create and implement a framework for continuous improvement in construction cost analysis, ensuring competitive cost negotiations for Procurement Category teams. + **Trend Analysis** : Identify and analyze any cost irregularities and trends. + **Benchmarking:** Lead external market intelligence analysis, problem-solving, benchmarking and solution development. + **Supplier Insights:** Collect and use financial data for construction supply chain and provide guidance for interpretation. + **Relationship Building:** Foster strong relationships with team members across the company (e.g., Procurement, Facilities Construction, Finance, Operations) to ensure overall project success. + **Provide Insights:** Offer insights on procurement cost-related aspects, including systems, processes, competitiveness benchmarking, and opportunities. + **Data Collaboration:** Work with business analytics and smart manufacturing teams to develop tools for maintaining, tracking, and reporting key cost data to drive decision-making. + **Executive Critical issue** : Advance achievements and barriers to executive sessions as needed. **You are a person that:** + Is highly skilled in analytical thinking and problem solving skills with attention to detail. + Demonstrates strong communication, influencing team members and senior leaders. + Embraces a positive attitude for collaborating across different global regions and cultures. + Is agile in adopting new methods and tools for continuous improvement. + Thrives in a global, fast-paced, and dynamic environment. **Requirements** + 3-5 years of relevant experience in cost management, cost controls, quantity surveying, or business analytics, particularly in Semiconductor / Cleanroom. + Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management. + Experience with mega-capital project including construction and/or infrastructure procurement and/or project controls. + Understanding of various construction delivery models and contracting methods (GMP, lump sum, unit price, time and materials, etc.). + Strong proficiency with data management, data analysis and reporting tools: Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Tableau, SQL, PowerBI, SharePoint, etc. + Experience with procurement systems: SAP, Scout, etc. + Knowledge of project management methodologies. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
