What You Will Do:
We are seeking a Senior Consultant, Strategic Communication to join our Defense and Security Segment, where the individual will provide strategic communications product development and review, in support of organizational and mission goals, and support decision-making for large-scale programs within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). This Senior Consultant will work alongside team members to provide strategic communication insights and operational support within a flexible, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Branding and Communications Plan: Develop, maintain, and monitor the project's branding and communications plan, ensuring alignment with organizational and client guidelines. Provide strategic guidance on communication priorities to enhance project visibility and impact.
Content Development and Quality Assurance: Ensure all work products are delivered with a single and consistent voice tailored to the end customer. Write, edit, and proofread communications materials, ensuring clarity, professionalism, and adherence to project branding.
Templates and Tools: Design, maintain, and update project-wide templates and tools to standardize communications and reporting. Train staff on the effective use of communication tools and templates.
Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a point of contact for internal and external communications, coordinating messaging across stakeholders. Develop and maintain relationships with key partners to streamline communication efforts and ensure message alignment.
Communication Strategy Implementation: Plan and execute communication campaigns that align with project objectives and key milestones. Monitor the effectiveness of communication strategies and adjust approaches based on data and feedback.
Digital and Visual Communication: Oversee the design and dissemination of visual communication materials such as infographics and presentations.
What You Will Need:
U.S. Citizenship and the ability to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DHS Public Trust
Bachelor’s Degree
5 (FIVE) or more years of experience in consulting, strategy, or related fields
What Would Be Nice To Have:
Experience working with federal law enforcement
Master’s Degree in a related field
Proven ability to lead and manage change in high-stakes environments
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience working with senior and executive leadership
Ability to thrive in a flexible, fast-paced environment
