Overview The ideal candidate has gained experience in the insurance industry, whether at insurance company rating agencies, insurance, reinsurance or broker firms, or accounting or consulting firms serving the industry. Experience in financial analytics and credit analysis is required, and an ability to provide leadership in the long term is desired. How you'll make an impact Prepare, review and present financial statement projections and related estimates of insurance company capital measures (particularly, RBC and BCAR), demonstrating the impact of planned or potential transactions or approaches on a ‘what if’ basis using our proprietary financial statement projection modelling tool, and to guide the design and implementation of improvements to that model. • Work closely with other Gallagher Re offices and teams across North America on client advisory and prospecting opportunities • Understand evolving client needs and contribute to thought leadership, advising clients on: o Earnings and capital management o Ratings maintenance o General regulatory requirements (solvency ratio management) o ERM best practices o Reinsurance implications on financials and capital models • Prepare client and market analysis and presentations represent Ratings Agency Advisory in preparing and delivering RFP responses • Engage with brokers, catastrophe risk analysts, actuaries and clients About You • Experience in financial or credit analysis and insurance and/or reinsurance industry • Excellent communication skills • Excellent analytical and numerical skills • Team-player, enthusiastic in supporting a team effort • Understanding of how the overall direction of the industry and understand how it is changing • Ability to prioritize, work under pressure and meet deadlines • Ability to manage people and projects • Initiative and an eagerness to drive projects to a successful conclusion • A willingness to engage with a wide range of clients and markets • Excellent presentation skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel and PowerPoint Work Traits: • Ability to foster a performance culture based on continuous improvement and to adapt to changes in a fast-paced work environment.
