Position Summary
The Strategy Program Management Team is responsible for the tracking and execution of opportunities to drive growth and/or strategic initiatives for SJI. The team is the primary driver in harmonization efforts across the enterprise for SJI strategy execution.
As the Senior Strategy Analyst, you will play a key role in developing and executing business strategies, conducting in-depth market and financial analysis, and supporting senior leadership in decision-making processes. This position requires a combination of analytical skills, strategic thinking, and effective communication to influence key business decisions.
Essential Functions:
+ Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and industry trend assessments to identify growth opportunities and potential risks.
+ Analyze business performance, financial data, and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and recommend actionable strategies.
+ Develop strategic frameworks, financial models, and presentations to support executive-level decision-making.
+ Manage and prioritize multiple projects, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within scope.
+ Assist in the development of business cases for new initiatives, including feasibility assessments and ROI projections.
+ Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and briefing materials for senior leadership meetings, board presentations, and investor communications.
+ Provide recommendations to executives on business strategies, investment opportunities, and other critical decisions.
+ Utilize advanced analytical tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI, etc.) to gather, analyze, and interpret large sets of data.
+ Make data-driven recommendations to optimize business performance and strategy execution.
Required Skills:
+ 5-7 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, financial analysis, or a related field.
+ Proven experience in performing quantitative analysis, developing business strategies, and working with cross-functional teams.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint; advanced skills in financial modeling and data analysis.
+ Ability to synthesize data and insights to develop clear, actionable recommendations.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to senior executives clearly and concisely.
+ Ability to influence and build relationships with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
Required Background:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field with 5 years of relevant experience, or;
+ Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
+ Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Compensation Range:
$81,750 - 130,800
We are committed to pay transparency and ensuring equitability compensation for all employees. The pay range for this position reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits, bonuses, or other forms of compensation that might be part of the total compensation package. The specific salary offered will be based on a candidate’s qualifications, education, and experience.
