Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager

Job Description:

Indorama Ventures- Indovinya is currently looking for a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our Marketing Team in The Woodlands, TX.   Your primary responsibilities will include to lead Indovinya Category Management team in delivering high-value, best-in-class category strategies to deliver Total Procurement Value (TPV) targets. Ensure world-class processes and tools are in place and effectively utilized to deliver best business outcomes.

This role will manage key category(ies). Lead cross-functional teams aimed at category strategy development and implementation that support and advance the company’s Strategic Sourcing objectives and policies and deliver optimal business results. Support team through effective and timely coaching, promote professional growth through training and development opportunities, and provide guidance and support to elevate team performance and remove barriers. Ensure effective cross-segment collaboration and maximize enterprise leverage opportunities.

Skills: 

Lead Category Management team to support professional growth, elevate Procurement performance, and maximize TPV.Leads team in the evaluation of existing contract relationships to identify savings realized, new savings opportunities, risk mitigation strategies, and other commercial terms enhancements.  Coach team members in contract start-up functions involving appropriate department managers.Coordinate Category Management initiatives and opportunities across the three enterprise segments.Develop and manage influential relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders that deliver highly-effective and value-driven partnerships.Coordinate category sourcing initiatives, including development and execution of clearly defined sourcing events; document bid process through supplier communication; drive the selection of suppliers in collaboration with cross-functional teams; conduct supplier negotiations; and ongoing supplier management.Develop negotiation strategies, gain alignment from stakeholders, lead cross-functional, category-based negotiation teams, and implement appropriate supplier risk analysis.Effectively engage and influence key internal stakeholders (e.g., Manufacturing, Capital Projects, EHS, IT, Finance, et.al.) to identify and exploit commercial leverage opportunities.Evaluate external markets for competitive sources of supply, conduct market research and use benchmarking data to qualify potential sources.Use current spend information/data and business knowledge to identify sourcing projects for individual subcontractors and develop overall cost reduction plan.Purchase Materials and Services in the assigned category portfolio, consistent with considerations of quality, reliability of source and urgency of need.Effectively use SAP to create and maintain supplier agreements, pricing, or commodity analytics in a timely manner.Evaluate and implement improvements to the procurement, contracts management, and materials management processes.Work independently with key suppliers to develop product curricula to enhance team’s category knowledge.Partner with Legal to ensure current and continued compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.Demonstrates team building and leadership skills.

What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering with equivalent work experience in a manufacturing or chemical environment.Professional certification (CPSM, CIPS, or equivalent) preferred.5+ years of professional supervisory experience.Required 10+ years of experience in multinational companies in marketing, product management and business development in the chemical production space.Experience in Digital Marketing.Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Ability to read, speak, and write English, bilingual a plus. Supplier Performance & Relationship Management (SPM / SRM).Development and understanding of commercial framework agreements and contracts.Strong working knowledge in business analysis, market research, financial analysis, cost models, procurement/supply chain analysis, supplier performance management, analytics (multi-dimensional analysis, master data management, predictive analysis, visualization).Strong analytical, prioritizing, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills with a track record of proactive problem resolution within complex supply chains.Drive consolidation of spend and seek out synergies across Business Units where applicable, by forming and leading cross-functional strategic sourcing teams to develop and implement category/commodity strategies and to drive cost from individual spend sub-categories.Proven project management experience in industrial services or sourcing activities, with emphasis in the following areas:  Construction / Engineering Services and Capital Projects and Plant Maintenance Services.Experience managing contractor safety compliance programs similar to ISN Net world or Avetta.Experience in digital sourcing & contract management platforms (e.g., GEP, Jaeger, Ariba, Coupa, et.al.Proficiency in SAP S4/HANA or equivalent.
