Senior Strategy Analyst - Advanced Business Analytics

You’re constantly evolving, so shouldn’t your opportunities be, too? **The Opportunity** Reporting to the Director of Strategy & Analytics, this position's primary responsibilities will include strategy development and performance analysis to optimize portfolio results. The ideal candidate must be passionate about delivering results, must be an innovative and strategic thinker, willing to challenge status quo, can learn quickly, is self-motivated, detail oriented, and can sift through voluminous amounts of information to pinpoint which items are relevant to understanding Business results. They will be able to apply knowledge of business and balanced judgment in interpretation of data (analytics). **The Work Itself** * Provide analytical and data support in crafting and reviewing strategy tests and current operations. * Analyze monthly operating results and variances; identify issues and develop corrective recommendations. * Perform portfolio analytics, special projects, and drill-down analyses. * Implement sound control processes in daily/weekly/monthly operations to manage risk effectively. * Maintain code logic to produce accurate operational and portfolio-level reports. * Collaborate with matrix & vendor partners to align with strategic imperatives. * Conduct special analytics projects as assigned. * Collaborate with different collaborators to provide timely and accurate analysis. * Deliver flawless and accurate results within designated timelines. **The Skills You Bring** * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred; BS or BA or equivalent experience in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field will be considered. * 3+ years' experience in a similar position preferred. * Proven experience and knowledge of the consumer financing industry (e.g., auto, card, mortgage). * Solid understanding of data mining and analytical techniques. * Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills. * Minimum 2 years of experience working with large datasets, with SAS and/or SQL knowledge. * Quick learner with a proven ability to start, develop, and complete projects. * Strong attention to detail and ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. o Basic knowledge of statistics and models preferred * Experience crafting and implementing champion challenger strategies preferred. * Familiarity with segmentation software such as Model Builder, Knowledge Seeker, R., or equivalent experience. * Experience in the automotive or financial services industry. * Advanced knowledge in developing analysis queries and procedures in SAS and/or SQL preferred. * #LI-Hybrid * \#DFS **How We'll Have Your Back** * Ally's compensation program offers market-competitive base pay and pay-for-performance incentives (bonuses) based on achieving personal and company goals.
