Role Description 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a budding strategist to accelerate their career by joining a fast-paced, high-performing team. You’ll bring enthusiasm, curiosity, and fresh thinking to help shape the future of strategy at UM EMEA while learning from some of the best in the business.

The Strategy team plays a key role at UM EMEA, ensuring strategic thinking is central to the work we deliver for our flagship clients, including General Mills, Johnson & Johnson, Levis, Dyson, and Just Eat. You’ll have exposure to diverse projects, collaborate across disciplines, and develop skills to tell compelling stories that bring our ideas to life.

You’ll work in predominantly in a regional role that engages with multiple markets.

 

Key Responsibilities

Support the development of innovative strategies for a range of UM’s flagship clients, from annual planning to campaign-specific briefs and support on new client pitches. Work with research, audience, analytics, planning, performance teams, and local markets to ensure that plans align with the strategic vision. Collaborate with senior team members to uncover insights, solve challenges, and create impactful communication strategies. Assist in building strong relationships with internal teams, local markets, and agency counterparts. Support the Strategy team in upskilling the agency via building to case studies, POVs, and internal presentations. Actively contribute to a cohesive team culture by leading with collaboration, positivity, and support, fostering an environment where everyone feels valued, motivated, and empowered to succeed. Assist in training and knowledge-sharing sessions with local market teams to maintain consistency across the region.

 

Desired Skills & Experience

Some experience in connections planning or communications strategy, with a focus on digital being a bonus. A foundational understanding of media and marketing fundamentals, with the ability to apply them to real-world challenges. Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data to uncover insights. Confident communicator with a knack for storytelling and presenting ideas to groups. Eager to learn and grow in a regional role, collaborating across multiple markets and disciplines.
