**About the Role**
You will be responsible for managing merchant growth operations for Uber’s Grocery and Retail business in Taiwan.
Focus areas include defining the merchants’ growth strategy, budget allocation, crafting/executing the go-to-market strategy, and driving operational excellence.
This role is ideal for individuals with experience building the acceleration engine for fast-growing businesses, executing on weekly, monthly and seasonal campaigns, allocating growth budgets effectively and efficiently - preferably within the tech, online retail and/or CPG space.
You will work cross-functionally with other teams (i.e. Marketing, Product, Legal, Communications) to lead high impact initiatives that can scale growth across the world while offering ownership and autonomy over your work. This role will report to the Head of Merchant Operations, Grocery and Retail.
**What You’ll Do:**
- Strategy: Develop and drive alignment around a focused growth strategy for the Uber Grocery business considering the broad competitive environment. Able to identify areas for Uber to differentiate sustainably for its consumers. To do this, you will develop a deep understanding of the broader industry trends and be able to identify and explore go-to-market opportunities ahead of competitors with a short, mid, and long-term vision.
- Budget management: Set vision, develop strategy, and manage a large budget around merchant growth strategies and tactics to enable us to grow Uber's Grocery and Retail business. Be willing to make trade offs to optimize the ROI from team & investments to successfully maximize long term growth.
- Operations: Partner effectively with a broader Delivery Operations team to ensure Grocery continues to improve on growth metrics. Analyze sophisticated data, drive segmentation models, and aggregate insights to drive key business decisions - especially around growth investments.
- Merchant campaign management: Design and execute weekly, monthly and seasonal plans - ensuring Uber customers get compelling promotions, and merchandising to drive discoverability, engagement and ultimately maximize profitable growth.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage internal and external stakeholders for Uber GR. Engage with local merchant partners, as well as being the Ops counterpart and voice on needs, requests, escalations, planning to cross-functional partners (i.e. Global Product, CommOps, and other Ops verticals).
**What You Will Need:**
- 5+ years of growth operations, business/ general management, strategy, planning, management consulting, marketing or similar experience
- Advanced in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets
- Data-driven executor: Experience working with large sets of structured and unstructured data and synthesizing them into business insights (e.g., using SQL, Excel, Salesforce)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Advanced in SQL or other programming language
- Experience with quantitative data analysis, deep measurable insights, modeling, and sophisticated test plan design and analysis.
- Success experience in managing a team to achieve various types of OKRs
