Senior Structural Consulting Engineer

The Role

SRG Global Asset Care has a career opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Senior Structural Integrity Engineer at our Riverview office, Queensland.

The successful candidate will oversee tasks related to structural integrity inspections, analysis, and design to ensure their safety and adherence to codes. Proficiency will be essential in devising practical solutions for diverse mining, oil & gas and industrial clients. The candidate will be responsible for various project facets such as safety, project management, quality, customer relations, sales, environmental management, finance, scheduling, and equipment upkeep in alignment with SRG guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Liaising with clients involved with engineering projects and maintenance. Cost estimation for proposals and tenders, including supporting presentations to clients, and the management of key client relationships. Reviewing tender documents and engineering specifications Preparing project scopes of work and execution plans, resource coordination, reporting, liaising & communicating with clients. Conducting engineering inspection, analysis, design and computation on steel and concrete structures Executing site-based structural audits of critical assets, plant and equipment Conducting structural analysis utilizing software such as SPACE GASS, AutoCAD Inventor, ANSYS etc. Reviewing and developing SRG’s Structural Engineering activities to meet and exceed client’s expectations. Providing oversight and mentoring for structural integrity inspections, audits and analysis. Keeping up to date with latest technological advances/innovative solutions for client challenges. Managing health, safety, environmental and quality (HSEQ) requirements for all work. This includes implementation of company protocols and continuous improvement of HSEQ culture Manage and administer quality-related matters, engineering evaluations, equipment calibration and upkeep, management of training records, and incident reporting

The successful applicant will ideally have:

Tertiary qualifications in Civil/Structural Engineering with project management and supervisory experience. CPEng and RPEQ status are highly advantageous. Minimum five years of project management experience in heavy industry related to structural integrity inspection of steel and concrete structures or asset care services. Proven track record of business development in a previous role. Willingness to travel to site as required by the business. Strong communication and people skills Strong computer and systems skills and knowledge
