Senior Structural Designer - Plant 3D / Revit Projects City Chattanooga State TN Country United States Area of Interest Design and Drafting Type Full Time - Regular Job ID 2024-12921 Business Group Nuclear Power Group Department Structural and Civil Design Description Under the direction of the Structural Project Lead, this position will offer you the opportunity to work with multi-disciplined engineering and design project teams in developing structural steel design and reinforced concrete design layout drawings in a 3-D modelUtilize Autodesk’s AutoCAD Plant 3D and Revit modeling software to generate structural design deliverables, BOMs, and commodity listsDevelop structural steel framing drawings, concrete wall and foundation drawings and detailing consistent with the engineering requirementsAct as the structural design team lead in the coordination of detailed design phases for all aspects of an integrated structural design modelResolve clashes and discrepancies in the 3D model and report status Coordinate and provide guidance to other designers and project team members to ensure a complete and timely designIndependently plan and execute design of structural deliverablesProvide guidance as a mentor in the development of less experienced drafters and designers

This position is based on a hybrid work schedule and will require in-office work 3 days per week.

Essential skills and experience:

Experienced and proficient with AutoCAD Plant 3D software and other tool sets. Experienced and proficient with Navisworks Manage and Revit software including the following:Understanding of the integration of structural 3D designClash detection resolutionComponent/Parametric Element Set UpInterface with IT Administrators in the development of structural deliverable templates and catalogsReports/Schedules/TemplatesDrawing Presentation Set UpPlant model data management Minimum seven years of detailed design experience in the development of structural plant design drawings; structural steel design and reinforced concrete design drawings Proficiency with design software tools in executing 3D plant layout modelsExperience in the review of structural layout drawings involving steel frames, connections, concrete members, equipment and piping supports, foundations, and rebar detailingExperience in the review of vendor drawings and interface pointsAbility to interface with engineering and design teams of other disciplines in the plant design process. 

Valued but not required experience:

Autodesk Construction Cloud, Advance Steel, Tekla, MicroStationMicrosoft Office tools
