Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Senior Structural Engineer, we'll count on you to:

Serve as a technical expert with recognized authority in structural engineering as it relates to projects and resolve problems of greater scope and complexity.Plan and develop projects or design activities with a significant impact on major company programs as needed.Plan, organize, and supervise work of a medium to large staff of professionals and technicians.Mentor and help develop younger staff.Put together a full set of Contract Documents (plans and specifications) that are constructible and meets client(s) standards as applicable.· Perform other duties as needed.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural EngineeringMinimum of 10 years structural engineering experience as it relates to buildingand/or other industrial structure design.PE or SEMicrosoft Office,REVIT, RAM, STAAD, ETABS, SAFE or similar analytical software that utilizes finite element analysis.Experience in design calculations and layoutsAbility to design and detail in steel, concrete, masonry and woodRequires understanding of gravity analysis and lateral analysisPrevious experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firmAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Architectural Engineering, Structural emphasis preferred Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firmPreference given to local Texas candidates.REVIT modeling and working experience.
