Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Senior Student Program Coordinator (Academic Initiatives) for Residence Life. This position reports directly to the Associate Director, Residence Education.

Among the key duties of the position: Serves as a liaison to academic services, university scheduling, and other university departments for course scheduling processes, housing placements, special permission numbers, recruitment, selection and orientation, in conjunction with the Associate Director. Works with LLC supervisors and campus directors to facilitate a comprehensive programming model designed to effectively address the student experience in academic, identity, and interest-based learning communities. Aligns learning outcomes with all curriculum and programmatic initiatives and facilitates assessment for the variety of LLCs and academic initiatives. Performs formative and summative assessments to determine impact of LLCs on students’ academic success, student attitudes and corresponding behaviors. Facilitates recruitment, outreach, and communication efforts to enroll students into various LLCs including specific initiatives for incoming first-year recruitment in collaboration with various Rutgers units. Oversees residential LLC mentor recruitment, selection, hiring and training processes and works with additional Res Life staff to identify LLC RAs as well. Oversees timeline processes for spring and summer interview and selection for LLC participants. Purchases program supplies, attends campus partner events in residence halls, hosts interest sessions, tables at department events, and hosts Community Ambassador Program (CAP) LLC events once per month, in-person, during times that work for residents. Participates in after-hours events related to Council. Handles purchasing items, event set-up, facilitation, and clean-up, and after-hours weekly meetings for the organization. Supports other units such as Student Support, Operations, and Residence Hall Association and National Residence Hall Honorary for their evening and weekend events, as needed.
