As a Senior Subdivision Regulatory Consultant, you will ensure compliance for state statutes and county regulations regarding land development and subdivision platting as well as draft and review other land development related codes. Doucet’s capabilities include Land Development, Public Works and Water Resources, Transportation, Geospatial, Environmental, and Construction Management Services. Responsibilities:
Draft and analyze taking impact assessment.Quality assurance and quality control (QAQC) of draft county regulations to assure conformance with relevant state statues.Handle statutory health and safety regulations.Prepare public notices and ordinances.Required Qualifications:
Juris Doctorate degree awarded from an accredited university and passed bar exam.20+ years of experience in providing counsel to counties in Texas, specifically with land development, public processes, and statutory recommendations for updating and adopting local codes and regulations.Experience writing takings impact assessments.Proficiency in MS Office (Word Outlook).Strong problem-solving and documentation skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Preferred Experience:
Knowledge of recent legislative changes regarding local transportation regulations pertaining to Counties, including, but not limited to Texas Transportation codes 251, 252, 253, 254, and 255.Knowledge of recent legislative changes regarding County-related local subdivision platting statutes, specifically Local Government Codes 232, 242, and 254.Former experience in real estate development.As part of our team, your expertise and leadership will make a meaningful impact on our projects and the communities we serve.
