Senior Supervisor, Second Shift Operations (Onsite)
Date Posted: 2025-02-20 Country: United States of America Location: PW205: P&W Amercon - PA 181 Fulling Mill Road, Middletown, PA, 17057 USA Position Role Type: Onsite What You Will Do: This position supervises entry and intermediate professional level employees or team leaders of production employees and sets day-to-day goals. The person in this role also manages cell productivity and guides scheduling, sequencing of work, and production innovation to optimize production. This is a Second Shift position. Training period required on First Shift. Responsibilities: + Ensures all quality related items for multiple cells or a complex cell are complete and documented to meet established quality standards. + Guides cost reduction and process improvement in multiple cells or a complex cell to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness. + Plans and executes scheduling for multiple cells or a complex cell to meet production schedules. + Guides the sequencing of work, such as build and delivery, for multiple cells or a complex cell to optimize productivity. + Supervises activities for materials and logistics problem resolution for multiple cells or a complex cell to ensure availability of materials and smooth operations. + Manages cell performance and productivity for multiple cells or a complex cell to maximize productivity. + Guides production innovation, including additive manufacturing, for multiple cells or a complex cell to enhance production capabilities. + Interfaces with customers to understand customer needs and issues and ensure that the customers receive satisfactory standards of service. Qualifications You Must Have: + Advanced degree and 3+ years of experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality or Aerospace Industry; OR Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant industry experience + U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract Qualifications We Prefer: + Degree in STEM field; Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering fields preferred. + Working knowledge of shop practices, policies, and procedures governing manufacturing engineering support requirements as well as work instruction documentation for manufacturing processes + Personnel management experience in a technical industry; engineering team leadership preferred. + Knowledge of Aerospace manufacturing and understanding of technical data requirements + Experience with the oversight of data integrity, reporting requirements, and key accountability metrics + Project management experience and ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment. + Experience with problem-solving tools such as root cause and corrective actions (RCCA) + Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement tools (CORE/ACE/SixSigma). + Ability to communicate and work across all levels of the organization. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines. The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
