Our Bagdad operations in Arizona offers housing at a subsidized rate, a family-friendly atmosphere and numerous amenities including an aquatic center, golf course and fitness center. Located 100 miles northwest of Phoenix, Bagdad is home to the world's first commercial - scale concentrate leach processing facility, as well as one of the longest continuously operating solvent extraction/electrowinning plants in the world.  Visit the Bagdad town website (https://bagdadaztown.com/) to learn more. **Description** Under general supervision, supervise, coordinate and control the safe and efficient operation of an assigned work unit through subordinate Supervisors. + Ensure continued operations of production shifts through execution of the production plan and schedules + Provide Operations input for production and maintenance planning + Ensure adherence to correct safety and operating procedures and compliance with appropriated federal and state laws and regulations + Inspect assigned work units to ensure schedules and objectives are attained + Coordinate daily with other Operational and staff areas, including but not limited to Maintenance, Processing, Engineering, Safety, Environmental, and Sales + Directly supervise first-line or shift Supervisors + Perform other duties as required **Qualifications** **Minimum Qualifications** + High School diploma or GED **and** seven (7) years of related operational experience, including supervisory or lead experience, **OR** + Bachelor's degree in a technical mining related discipline **and** three (3) years of operational experience, including supervisory or lead experience + Additional certifications or licensure appropriate to the job may be required + Knowledge of supervisory methods and techniques + Skilled in resolving day-to-day questions/problems regarding equipment, materials, methods and procedures needed to complete projects + Skilled in budget preparation, monitoring and administration + Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions + Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards + Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing **Preferred** + Mineral processing experience and/ or degree + Chemical Engineering and/or Metallurgy degree + Milling experience + Processing and manufacturing knowledge **Criteria/Conditions** + Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English + Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards + Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment + Work is in a mine or manufacturing plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particles. + While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear and see. + Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 30 pounds) during the course of the workday. + Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, or manufacturing plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required. + Freeport-McMoRan promotes a drug/alcohol free work environment through the use of mandatory pre-employment drug testing and on-going random drug testing as per applicable State Laws. **What We Offer You** The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently  **$98,000-$137,000.**  This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
